AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
St.Francis College aims at providing all round balanced education rather than mere instruction. It attempts to draw out all potentialities of the students - intellectual. moral, aesthtic and religious. St.Francis aims at inculcating respect for the human person and at creating an atmosphere favouring the growth of virtues like sincerity, equality, service and compassion. As a minority institution it reserves for itself its inherent and constitution recognised right {art.30(i)} with regard to management and administration. It is meant primarily for Catholics but admits students without discrimination of caste, language or creed. If it has any leanings it is for the most needy.
St.Francis does not accept capitation fees of any sort. Parents are warned against middlemen who take donations in cash or kind, in our name. Beware of them.
As a Christian Institution, St.Francis has two aspects to its mission.
(A) A special responsibility for the education of Christian Youth, to whom it must provide the opportunity for acquiring an experiential knowledge of the person and message of Jesus Christ, so that they live as commited Christians.
(b) It must share its ideals and concern with all its students, providing them an atmosphere where the values of India's culture are transmitted and in which they grow in to competent, committed leaders geared to service.
